MYSTERY ESSENCE ADD-ON: Participants are invited to receive an optional mystery essence for personal use that we will discuss in class. Spend as much time with the essence as you like. You may spend time sitting quietly, drawing, journaling, dancing, or any practice that feels right for you.
We’ll touch on ways plants offer frameworks for our fullest embodiment beyond colonial gender. We’ll cover essences, bathing rituals, herbs for nourishment, nervous system & hormone support, low dose botanicals, spirit care around surgery, plants for gender fuckery & ecosystem care.
I first waded into transition as something not only my body desired but also the earth desired for me. Plants have kept me steady since day one, helped hold my emotional center with body in flux. Plants gave me permission to move at my own pace. To listen to body, to land. To feel safe enough to move toward discomfort & change while staying in relationship.
Loving the land, letting it love us back into ourselves. A spiral dance.

What is an environmental essence? How & why do we make them?
Plants to support emotions throughout transition, turning the volume up or down if needed.
Celebrating wild unruly queer & transness beyond the physical, stretching our ideas of fixed identity.
How plants can offer a sense of belonging & cultural reconnection beyond whiteness & empire herbalism.
Boundaries + heart expansion to find our ground & keep showing up through increased threats.
Plant ecologies & botany as models for mutual care & collective responsiveness.
How land devotion + stewardship can help us access our innate embodied liberation.
This class will cover some physical qualities of plants, as well as esoteric realms of spirit, emotions & story.
