The hummingbirds came to me in my early 20s when I was still growing plants on apartment balconies. We potted up native salvias and the hummers would visit us everyday from the wildlife corridor below.Some days they were the only thing that pulled me out of deep depression, gliding across the deserts and coastal chaparral and oak woodland landscapes.
Hummingbird Sage is a riparian loving plant, growing at the edges of mountain streams. Hummingbird Sage teaches us to find the flow of emotional shifts, allowing us to move between grief, despair, pleasure and joy without judgment, or placing more value on any one emotion.
